Handicapping, Sportsbooks and Profits - OH MY!

Handicapping, Sportsbooks and Profits - OH MY!

Do you like betting on Sports?
If so, what do you like the most today?

* The thrill of the action and winning?
* The ease of betting online from anywhere in the world?
* The potential to win substantial amounts of money?

All of these are part of the fun. But of course, gambling isn't
for everyone. For some it is against their beliefs, for others
it is too powerful an addiction, and for others...well, you get
the idea.

But for those that can treat sports betting like investing in the
stock market, there are substantial benefits. You need a system.
You need to do your homework. You need to realize it is not a
get-rich-quick scheme, but rather a long-term investment of time,
money, research, and experience.

But once a person decides to get involved, what should they do?

1. You should contact a lawyer about whether it is legal for you
to engage in offshore betting where you live. This is often an
overlooked step which can lead to big headaches later on. Don't
forget to do this!

2. Set up an accounting system so you can report your winnings.
You should always report your winnings, period. If you have
gambling losses, make sure you report them separately from all
other sources (including lottery losses).

3. If you have a proven, winning system at betting on sports
then you have an edge. This makes you an advantage player.
However, most people don't have this level of knowledge and
experience, and should rely on somebody else at least in the
beginning that has done the research beyond looking up sports
scores in the daily newspapers. These experts are known as
handicappers. If you are just starting out, it may be worthwhile
for you to seek one out, one you can trust. Odds are that if you
just try doing it yourself, or, pick just any tout claiming to be
a handicapper, you'll probably wind up losing all your money.

4. Actual betting is done using Sportsbooks, also known as books
or bookmakers. As a personal aside, I recommend you don't call
them bookies as it carries a connotation of illegality and won't
get you into their best graces if you know what I mean. Picking
a sportsbook you can trust is vital since you will be giving your
money to them to make your bets for you, and you are relying on
them to pay you your winnings.

5. Make sure the countries your sportsbooks reside in have
strong gaming commissions. Countries such as Antigua (Barbuda),
Australia, Austria, Belize, Curacao, Gibraltar, the Isle of Man,
Jamaica, Mauritius and England have strong gaming commissions
with expensive and stringent gaming licensing procedures. In
addition, they also have good technology infrastructures with
adequate bandwidth for real-time betting.

6. Once you find a sportsbook you like, you will need to open an
account. All I can say here is you need to enter all your
information completely and correctly. Remember that this
information will be used to send you your winnings.

7. Finally, make sure to record your plays. A simple
spreadsheet works well for being able to add up your winnings and
losses each year. However, sometimes players don't want others
snooping in their affairs. If this is just a family issue, you
can just save your open wagers page by using your internet
browsers' "File Save As..." feature to some obscure folder on
your computer. However, if the snooping is a really big problem,
you may want to check out utilizing offshore banking accounts to
keep your privacy intact.

In essence, if you do your homework and find people that you can
rely on, betting on sports can be fun, entertaining and
lucrative. But keep in mind that this is a totally unregulated
business worldwide (with the exception of Australia). There is
no safety net, and you are totally responsible for your own
funds. So be prepared to do your due diligence...so you can
enjoy this exciting and potentially wildly profitable industry.

Polar F4 Heart Rate Monitor Watch

Polar F4 Heart Rate Monitor Watch
The first women's-specific heart rate monitor watch from Polar, the F4 combines all the necessary heart rate features with a new, slim design. Heart rate watches are essential training tools for many runners, as they help you perform a mix of endurance workouts, tempo runs, and AT intervals by leading you through the routines and giving you valuable feedback on how to turn your weaknesses into strengths. Fitness runners will likely benefit most by running in a particular zone each day. For weight management, running in the 60 to 70 percent zone helps you burn fat and build endurance. Or you can increase your overall fitness by doing tempo runs in the 70 to 80 percent zone. Best of all, heart rate monitors aren't just for competitive runners, as casual joggers will also find them invaluable.

The F4 is packed with innovative training features to help you toward your exercise goals, including Zone Pointer and Polar OwnCal modes. The Zone Pointer is an audible and visual feature on the display of your F4 that shows you where your current heart rate sits within your target heart rate zone. Polar Own Cal, meanwhile, shows your energy expenditure during one exercise session, as well as your accumulated kilocalories during several exercise sessions. You can also set daily and weekly exercise goals in terms of calorie expenditure, helping you achieve both short-term and long-term goals.

Other features include a Fitness Bullet feature that shows a bullet on the monitor's display for every 10 minutes spent exercising/training in your target heart zone; a Time in Target Zone mode that calculates the amount of total exercise time spent in your personal target zone; water-resistance to 100 feet; a 24-hour clock with a day/week indicator and stopwatch; a large easy-to-read display with a split screen; a stopwatch; and a one-year average battery life. Sporting an attractive "red berry" housing, the watch carries a two-year warranty.

Manufacturer's Warranty
The original purchaser of this heart rate monitor is backed by a limited warranty that states that this product that the product will be free from defects in material or workmanship for two years from the date of purchase.

Note: Polar heart rate monitors are precision instruments; consumers are not advised to change their own battery. Polar recommends that all service be done by an authorized Polar Service Center which will include a warranty for 90 days on repairs and 6 months for batteries.

About Polar
The first EKG accurate wireless heart rate monitor was invented by Polar back in 1977 as a training tool for the Finnish National Cross Country Ski Team. The concept of "intensity training" by heart rate swept the athletic world in the eighties. By the 1990s, individuals were looking to heart rate monitors not only for performance training needs, but also for achieving everyday fitness goals. Today, the same concept of heart rate training is being used by world-class athletes as well as everyday people trying to lose weight. Polar is the leading brand among consumers, coaches, and personal trainers worldwide and the company is committed to not only producing the best products, but also being the leading educator on the benefits of heart rate based exercise.

Customer Review: WONDERFUL

I love my Polar heart monitor. I use it daily. I learned quickly that when I walked and I wanted to get an aerobic burn from my walk that I needed to just increase my speed a little and the monitor helps me to that. I use it at Spin class and it works great ( the only thing I would have made sure I had gotten for spin class would be a light on the watch so I can see what my heart rate is during class since the lights are off in the room and I can't see the watch face) I love to use it in the fitness room at the gym since it works with the built in monitors on their machines almost like magic. It is comfortable and I am a large woman the elastic strap adjust easily. I would highly reccomend this product.

Customer Review: Polar F4 Women's Heart Rate Monitor - not working!

Unfortunately I cannot say anything good about this monitor since it worked for me only once. When I tried to use the monitor the second day it would not pick up the signal from the chest belt, no matter how I tried to reposition or tighten it. Also, the initial set-up (of the watch settings) was a bit of a chore - I nearly chucked it out of the window a couple of times. I returned it for a refund . I haven't bought another one thus far - still doing research and looking for input on which one is worth an investment.

Second Heaven - New Jersey Devils 2000 Stanley Cup Champions

Second Heaven - New Jersey Devils 2000 Stanley Cup Champions
Hockey fans went Cup Crazy as the New Jersey Devils topped the defending champion Dallas Stars to take home Lord Stanley's Cup. Led by postseason MVP Scott Stevens, the Devils staged a historic comeback to beat the Philadelphia Flyers before winning a hard-fought Finals over the Stars in six games. This official video includes never-before-seen footage of the finals, the playoffs, and the 1999-2000 regular season.

Customer Review: Very enjoyable

I very much enjoy watching this show. It captures the spirit of the Devil's playoff run and all the obstacle they faced -- it goes back to the 1995 Stanley Cup and the trials and travails from then on. It is a nice insider view of how different players and members of the team dealt with the challenges along the way.

I was hoping it would have more coverage of Elias and Sykora. It was surprising that they were just briefly mentioned toward the end of the show. Also, I would have liked the program to be longer and have more clips from the playoff games. The total run time is about 50 minutes. I do recommend the product however.

Customer Review: Claude Lemieux is # 1

Claude Lemieux is the main reason
why the Devils won in 1995, and in 2000.
The video tape or DVD is worth buying.
Claude Lemieux also made history as
being the only player in history to
win the cup for two different teams.
Claude Lemieux has won more cups
than Mario Lemieux. Claude won it in 1986
1995 1996 and 2000. Let's hope that the
Devils and Lou Lamoreillo obtains this
great player who really is the heart and
soul of the devils.Claude is known also
for his famous punch he gave to Kris Draper
#33 of the Detroit Red Wings. That was
a beautiful punch Draper received in the face.
please take advantage of the opportunity when
watching claude lemieux, players like him
are scare, good players, but who are growing
older and once he is gone, he is gone from
the scene.

DeWalt D26441K Heavy-Duty 2.4 Amp Orbital 1/4 Sheet Sander with Cloth Dust Bag

DeWalt D26441K Heavy-Duty 2.4 Amp Orbital 1/4 Sheet Sander with Cloth Dust Bag
Conveniently sized for detailed jobs. Powerful tool uses 2 Amps and runs at 13,500 OPM. Includes dust collector. Speed (RPM): 13,500, Amps: 2, OPM: 13,500, Dust Bag Included: Yes

Customer Review: Very nice!

I bought this for my wife to use on her restoration projects. She's only used it a couple time so far, but she really likes it. The dust collection function is awesome. It picked up 80% of the paint dust from her recent project. Additionally, even more important is the fact that the unit doesn't vibrate nearly as much as the Black and Decker she was using, which allows her to work for longer periods of time. We recommend spending the extra couple bucks. You can't go wrong with DeWalt!!

Customer Review: Dewalt orbital sander

DeWalt D26441K Heavy-Duty 2.4 Amp Orbital 1/4 Sheet Sander with Cloth Dust Bag

This is the best 1/4" sheet sander I have ever worked with. I am a highschool cabinet making teacher and have tried various brands in my shop. My students use these sanders harder than anyone would use them for their own work, and they hold up great. ! have five of these in my shop and when I needed to replace the one I use at home for myself I ordered this one.

Fire On The Track: The Steve Prefontaine Story

Fire On The Track: The Steve Prefontaine Story
"Pre" embodied the spirit of athletic excellence. He had a belief in self and sport that transcended all but the outer reaches of human speed and endurance. As a freshman, he appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated, which hailed him as "America's Distance Prodigy". By the time he died in a tragic auto accident at the age of 24, Pre held all 7 American records between 2,000 and 10,000 meters. Off the track, he fought relentlessly for the rights of amateur athletes to prosper for their sacrifices. Narrated by Ken Kesey, Fire On the Track is the story of this young lion's life, as told through rare footage and the memories of those who knew him best - his teammates, coaches, family and friends. Interviews include David Bedford, Frank Shorter, Ian Stewart, Bill Bowerman, Jeff Galloway, Dick Buerkle, Lasse Viren, Dana Carvey, Mac Wilkins, Kenny Moore, Dave Wottle, Alberto Salazar, and many more.

Customer Review: Excellent documentary!

I am a runner, so Steve Prefontaine is a hero to me. He was an awesome runner, and also did a lot for amateur athletics overall, affecting all generations after him. He died such a tragic, untimely death, but his legacy and inspiration live on. Great documentary of a great hero.

Customer Review: Coach Harry

One of the most inspiring documentaries I've ever watched. My children of whom are all runners are crazed Pre fans and all ran personal bests after watching this film. This is a film that all runners should watch. Coach's should direct their children to watch this movie also. We need more legends like Pre to inspire our runners of the future!

Featuring 30 hours of battery life off 4 AA batteries (included) and a unique power saver mode with audible alarm, the Wireless Sensor Bar is designed for ultimate convenience. Ideal for wall-mounted flat screens Powered by 4 AA batteries (included)

Customer Review: sensor bar

This is so much easier to use than the wired bar. very convenient and easy to take with you on the go.

Customer Review: not worth the hassle

the sensor bar is a great idea letting people that keep their wii away from the tv do so without the problem of the cord showing. unfortunatly the cost will continue to rise for you constantly using batteries. this product uses 4 aa batteries to power itself. the most play i've gotten from it is about 24-36 hours without the need to replace them. there is no warning that you need to replace them only a sever drop in range of the playing area and you have to stand directly in front of it for it to continue to work. overall a great aftermarket add on if you can afford to keep replacing batteries or if your not the hard core gamer. stick with the sensor that came with it.

Valeo Body Ball (75 cm)

Valeo Body Ball (75 cm)
The Valeo 75 cm balance/body ball makes a great addition to your everyday workout routine to improve strength and posture. It can be used for a wide range of functions, from a desk chair to an apparatus for your weight training routine. Each box includes a wall chart illustrating step-by-step exercise program and a high volume air pump.

Customer Review: Great exercise ball!

We purchased this ball to assist with ab workouts; I did my research and read tons of reviews on many other exercise balls and this was a great purchase. I probably should have gotten a smaller one since I'm 5'3", but the size does not seem to be a problem because my workouts are just as effective! My boyfriend is 5'9" and it works perfectly for him. Although the inflating did take some time, we had no problems with the pump and the ball has maintained it's shape and is very sturdy. I'm very satisfied and recommend this ball!

Customer Review: I love my big red ball!

I love my big red ball so much, I got one for my brother.

It's sturdy, BIG, comes with it's own pump and it's red. Yay!

I’ve got a major problem for a lot of people I’d like to address today. More and more new internet entrepreneurs are trying to start their own ecommerce empire. The problem is they don’t know where to really begin. I Get a lot of emails asking “do I have to have A web site to sell online?” The answer is no. You don’t have to have a Website of your own, but it is definitely better if you do. I’ll bet you can guess what the next question is. “How do I Get my own website?” For some
