"Covert" is an extraordinarily fascinating read about the Mob and their illegal activities in the 1970s. Bob Delaney does an amazing job setting the stage and groundwork for what, at the time, was ground-breaking work - going deep undercover into organized crime. Bob tells the story like you're sitting right next to him. The emotional and psychological rollercoaster Bob has to undertake, from transforming into another person for three years and then having to 'come back into society,' is truly an unbelievable story. I highly recommend this book.

I started reading this book on a "red eye" flight from LA to Philadelphia. When others were sleeping, I was deeply engrossed in this book. Why? Because Covert captivates you from page one. What I particularly like was the format. The co-author sets up each chapter very nicely and Delaney takes it from there. It's as if Dave and Bob are reading the story to you. Covert isn't a only a book about setting up the Mob and later taking on a career change to being an NBA referee -- it really deals with Bob's ever changing emotions and how he deals with living essentially two lives. Strongly recommended for everyone!!!

This is one of those stories that makes you feel good, and is filled with inspiration and hope. This movie is great for almost any age, entertaining, and even a bit educational (economic-class discrimination, and common attitudes pertaining social-order at that time, are highlighted). Overall, a big thumbs-up for this movie -- a good, inspiring, family film that basically says "follow your heart".

This is an uncomplicated and pleasant movie that gives you a little bit of everything: Comedy, drama, class clash, romance, father/son struggle and a feel good ending. The acting was perfect by all, especially the kid caddy who deserves an oscar for his comical and endearing performance. He had us laughing out loud everytime he opened his mouth.

Great for kids too - there is no gratuitous sex, violence or langauge.

Even if golf isn't your "thing" (it's certainly not mine!), I think you will enjoy this emminantly likeable movie.

Honestly the online service is far better (and has outpaced the book). While the book can be physically held, the information on BaseballHQ is more recent and cotains all of the data in the book.

The only downside is the service is much more expensive, but accuracy comes at a price.

Customer Review: Great content, weak presentation

This book has a lot of great information and presents users with a statistical means for evaluating players vs. what you get in most fantasy mags- someone's rankings which often seem arbitrary and quickly thrown together.

The downside is it takes weeks to figure out what all the codes stand for and how they're calculated. Would seem simple to offer a basic legend with descriptions, but no luck. There's a glossary which often assumes you know more than you already do about their proprietary info, and even those descriptions are often incomplete.

There are also a number of annoying quirks, such as players not listed with a team, and players who don't play full seasons' stats are extrapolated over a full year. That's a nice touch maybe, but can we throw in the actuals also?

I've also found the basic stats to be flatly incorrect in many cases.

Overall, a great resource that could use an editor's touch for some really basic improvements.

I typically don't order books without reviewing. When I saw Renzo's name tied into the book, I thought this was worth the great discount. It did not dissapoint.

There are so many books out there in terms of the individual sports and components that make up the sport of MMA (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Wrestling,Boxing, etc.), but no real training manuals as a reference.

This book acts as a quick primer on MMA (Getting your feet wet on terminology, nothing more) refernce guide for "warrior" exercises related to different aspects of the MMA game, nutrition guide, even weight cutting and an 8 week plan.

All in all, a very good and complete book. I can't wait to incorporate these exercises into my regimen, so I can get stared at by the bicep curling, bench pressing guys at the gym.
