WATER SPORTS - FIVE REASONS WHY BODYBOARDING IS A GREAT SPORT

There?s nothing quite like the feeling of riding a wave. It?s almost impossible to visit the ocean without at least being intrigued by the art of surfing. The easiest introduction to surfing is through bodyboarding. Bodyboards can be found in many stores and near the beach it?s not hard to find rental bodyboards.

THE LEARNING CURVE FOR BEGINNERS IS VERY LOW

First timers can go out and have fun their very first time. Even if all you are doing is riding the "whitewash" from a wave that has already broken, the sensation of being propelled towards the shore can be exhilarating in and of itself for someone who is new to the ocean.

"NATURAL" FORM OF EXERCISE

Physical activity gets the blood flowing. Being outdoors, interacting with nature and harnessing its power and directing it with your own strength to travel at light speed across the ocean is much more fulfilling than working out in a gym or swimming in a pool.

YOU SET YOUR OWN LIMITS

Bodyboarding can be as challenging of a water sport as you want to make it. You may be comfortable riding soft, easy waves or you may want to push your limits by riding larger, more powerful waves. You may be happy enjoying the rush of surfing full speed across a long, lined up wave or you may want to push your own limits by performing critical direction changes or acrobatic maneuvers either on the wave or by using its force to project you into the air above the wave.

NEGATIVE IONS

The crashing surf creates negative ions in the air. Negative ions increase blood flow to the brain, which can in turn give you an energy boost, enhance your mood, and help relieve stress.

CLEANSING OF THE MIND

When you are riding waves, your body reacts to your mind and your mind is focused only on the ocean. The troubles of everyday life are momentarily forgotten and can help clear the mind and reduce stress.

So what are you waiting for? If you are looking for a water sport with lower cost and easier learning curve than surfing then bodyboarding may be right for you. Beg for, borrow, rent (but don't steal) bodyboard and go catch some waves!

Bracketron UFM-100BL Nav-Mat GPS Friction Dash Pad

Bracketron UFM-100BL Nav-Mat GPS Friction Dash Pad
Compatible with most portable GPS receivers / Weighted, antiskid design securely holds your GPS receiver to your dashboard

Customer Review: Works wonderfully!

This is a very efficient way to hold your GPS system. It does exactly what it says it does.

Customer Review: Not Good for Travel

First, let me say that if your need is for a GPS mount for your own personal vehicle that you use on a day-to-day basis, this should work fine. It's very heavy and sturdy and probably will not move from your dash while driving.

However, I purchased this product with the intent of using it during my travels. This would have been very useful in states like CA where you are not allowed to have anything mounted to your windshield. But, this thing is HEAVY. While this is one of the things that makes this product so steady on your dash, it is simply too heavy to travel with. I am trying to shave ounces from my laptop, so adding an additional pound and a half is not an option. Look elsewhere if your intent is to use it during your travels.

Customer Review: I got a lemon

I've had this waffle iron for less than a year and it stopped heating on the top element...what a waste of money! I'll find an OLD good one (they work forever) in a thrift shop.

Customer Review: Wonderful

This is a great waffle iron. However, don't even think of using the waffle recipe that Black and Decker provides...it is beyond awful.

Don't Break the Ice

Don't Break the Ice
A polar bear is happily skating across the ice. He's gesturing thumbs up. A big smile stretches his face. Uh-oh. What's that tapping sound? A block of ice just disappeared from his pond. And there goes another one. The polar bear is running out of room to skate. In Don't Break the Ice, two to four players take turns wielding plastic mallets and tapping out ice blocks. The goal is to keep the polar bear skating for as long as possible. But as the game progresses, ice blocks start falling faster and faster. And then, there goes the bear! Luckily, these ice blocks don't melt. The game can quickly be reassembled and soon the polar bear is skating again. This bear might lose his footing, but he's always got his smile. --Wendy Slotboom

Customer Review: One of my son's favorites

This is one of my son's favorites - going on a year now. He plays it a few times per week. Not only is it fun, I find it a bit educational. We count the squares as we're setting up the rows, and there is strategy involved. I knocked a star off because of the noise factor - perhaps the hammers could have a little padding to make them less noisy?

Customer Review: Just as fun as the original

I had this game as a kid and it was a blast..and it still is!My daughter and I have been playing this since she was 2(she's 4 now and loves it more than ever). It has tought her how to take turns and the laws of physics,on some level(I can see the wheels turning in her head as she figures out what blocks she can hit without knocking out the whole row). She is even quite patient as we put the ice cubes in the tray. It's kind of annoying that it takes 25 seconds to knock out the cubes and 3 minutes to put them back. The hammers are a little flimsy(one of ours is a little bent). It really is fun though.Who doesn't like beatin' the heck out of something with a hammer?

Jack Johnson - September Sessions

Jack Johnson - September Sessions
Customer Review: September Sessions

Another good jack johnson surf video but this time with pro surfers kelly and rob at least. Smaller waves than Thicker Than Water, but more remote locations. It has more of a vacation feel to it. Same good music. I would recommend his first video over this one, unless you are into the filming 16 Mil thing.

Customer Review: Not your typical head-bangin, bucket-throwin surf flick.

This surf flick is nothing like "Hit & Run" or "Loose Change"! While the two previously mentioned are of the amp-you-up,@#**$-to-the-wall variety. September Sessions is more laid back and soulful in its presentation, in both audio and video. Kelly narrates the whole thing. Reminds me of my best sessions out with the boys catchin as many waves as you want til your arms turn to jello. This is surfing the way it's meant to be. Save the aggro for your crowded beach break when the girls are watching. We need a sequel!

Nicklaus, Jack / Golf My Way (3pc)

Nicklaus, Jack / Golf My Way (3pc)
Customer Review: priceless

I have owned this video for a while now, and I feel it is absolutely priceless. I have watched it many times and still do. As you progress as a golfer you will pick up more things from the video that you did not feel before. Just the slow motion of Jack Nicklaus not far from his prime make the video worth it. The slow motion segments are priceless. You can learn more from just watching him over and over and absorbing it, than you could from a thousand books. Jack, would you remaster it and put it on DVD? Please? I would be the first to buy it and add it to my collection and continue to watch it!!!

The Amazon review here and some of the others are for Jack's book of a similar title which is great and was used by some current tour pros to help them learn the game; but the item pictured here and made available here is a VHS video.

This is his full comprehensive video on the actual technique of hitting the golf ball. This is also made availabe as three seperate shorter videos breaking it down to 1)the full swing, 2)the short game, and 3)the control shots. This video contains all of that footage plus the deleted footage for each section on what not to do.

There is a second video produced a little later which is called "Golf My Way:Playing the Game", which is also a full length video, but covers in detail the aspects of thinking and planning your way around the golf course, which was one of Jack's truly great strenghths.

This stuff is always current and truly timeless. Applying this cannot but help your game.

Customer Review: Golf My Way

Although written in 1974, book very helpful with the basics of golf while excluding most of the confusing techical aspects put forth today. Main reason I bought it was that several modern successful professional golfers have said that this book had helped them learn or improve their game. Good buy for the info and the price.

Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter

Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter
Designed for versatility and ease, the Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter enhances your Xbox 360 experience in the digital home, seamlessly synchronizing with the Xbox 360 system. You can easily transfer videos and music to your Xbox 360 system from your Media Center PC, chat with your friends, play games via Xbox Live, and more all without the clutter of wires.

Customer Review: DO NOT BUY THIS ADAPTER

When I got this router i plugged it in and it worked fine for then. later i had simply unplugged it because it was slow (I.E. I had to plug my xbox in downstairs) and when i put it in it would not connect to my wireless network when clearly nothing was wrong. After a one and a half phone call with xbox customer service they blatantly told me i was screwed and there was nothing i could do unless i happened to have another xbox console laying around. For the 100 dollars i paid for it i would expect a quality product and after this experiance i will not plan to buy any xbox brand product again. Instead of buying this do yourself a favor and DON'T.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

Customer Review: Necessary

Though this is a necessary product for wireless networking via Xbox, it's hard to give this product a 1. I give it a 3 because of the Price, a ridiculous $99. Sorry, but I think $30-$50 would have sufficed. XBOX is honestly a rip off. As fun as the system is, the company (10x more so than playstation) tried to manipulate it's users into thinking they'd be saving money buying their system when in actuality they are RAPING you with NECESSARY accessory charges. So while I say this product is a NECESSARY addition to your Xbox, it's an additional $100 to your 400 dollar xbox, making the xbox (with ONLY the wireless adapter) cost you about $500 ALREADY. That is already the price of the Playstation itself PLUS an extra hundred. The icing on the cake is the fact that (the $400) PLAYSTATION INCLUDES the Wireless adapter INSIDE the playstation. Not only that, but ALSO FOR YOU $400, you get a BLUE RAY DVD PLAYER that is better than most stand alone Blue Ray DvD Players. So for your crappy Xbox with a graphic card that doesn't hold a candle to Playstations, you get to pay an extra $100 for half the features of PS3.

Doesn't seem like the best choice now does it?

Less of course your life revolves around Halo... which could be your only justification for owning an Xbox.

Hm?

Oh and FYI, I ONLY own an Xbox... this is just how Peeved I am about the situation.
